What happens to your Prayer Requests and Offers of Thanksgiving
Members of River House Ministry meet on Wednesday’s for our weekly bible study. We share your prayer requests and petition the Lord on your behalf. (Phillipians 4:6) We honor your prayers of thanksgiving and carry your messages with us throughout the week as the Holy Spirit quickens our minds to recall your petition and offer up your needs to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)
A Members Testimony and why we feel a Prayer Box was needed
I lived alone in this community for two years while going through a divorce, after 25 years of marriage. I was working 3 jobs while supporting 2 young adult children in college and another in high school. Walking this trail was my refuge, providing a quiet space where I could commune with God. The divorce and pain it caused for my children produced feelings of tremendous loss, and a sense of failure as a husband and father.
At times, I felt the need for human connection, despite my involvement in church and bible study. I just wanted to meet someone on the trail and share my awareness of Gods’ grace and my need for Gods’ guidance. I was open to listen to that person as they shared whatever their hearts would offer.
This prayer Box can also be a message center for anyone who needs human connection. Just use the prayer card to provide your name and contact method. River House Ministry offers an open heart to share in your search for human connection. You are not alone! A member of the ministry will follow up on your message and serve as a respectful listener as you share whatever is on your heart.
